Ina Schuppe Koistinen, PhD, Associate Professor, holds the position as Alliance Director at the Centre for Translational Microbiome Research at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.
Ina has an education in biochemistry and toxicology, a PhD in Medicine and comprehensive experience from pre-clinical and clinical drug development. Ina has pursued a career both in pharma industry and academia with emphasis on translational medicine research in brain, respiratory, autoimmune, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Her current research interest is in understanding the role of the microbiome to health with a focus on female reproduction.
In addition to her research, Ina is an artist with watercolors as her medium. She is also a yoga and groove teacher with a passion to guide people to a healthy lifestyle and to find everyday tools to handle stress.
