The Most Amazing Minds in Yoga and Science Research
We are very excited to have some of the leading minds in the fields of yoga, meditation, and neuroscience joining us this year. Our presenters include Dr. Stephen Porges, creator of the Polyvagal Theory; Dr. Shirley Telles, the head of research at Patanjali Yoga Institute in Rishikesh; Dr. Bethany Kok, who has done extensive research on the vagus nerve and “upward spirals of emotions”; Dr. Gail Parker who will present on yoga for race-based stress and trauma; Dr. Stacy Hunter, presenting on cardiovascular function and yoga, and Pam Jeter, from the National Institute of Health, who will focus on empowering the yoga community through helping yogis develop an evidence-informed practice. Joining us again from 2017 are Sat Bir Khalsa and Crystal Park, who will bring us up to date on their recent work. If you are interested in yoga, or interested in science, or just plain interested in how yoga works, this conference is for you! And finally—don’t miss “Yoga Scientist Genius Bar and Social” where, along with beverages and canapés, presenters will be available to answer your specific questions.
